Restaurant Review: Stella’s Italian Kitchen and Market

Stella's vodka rigatoni

For a tasty meal and tasteful ambiance, try Stella’s in Lyme. Located in a historic building on the Lyme Common, the restaurant serves up pleasing meals whose origins are often the nearby family farms that dot Route 10.  Browse Stella’s market for gourmet provisions before you take your seat in the softly lit dining area. Start your meal with the house salad: field greens, marinated red onion, sun-dried tomato, crumbled goat cheese and herb vinaigrette ($7.00). For your entrée, try the popular bucatini bolognese (below, left) made with Robie Farm pork sausage ($15.00) or the tangy vodka rigatoni (pictured above) ($14.00) with fresh, sweet baby peas. Daily fish and ravioli specials are also highly recommended, and smaller-sized pizza and pasta portions are perfect for the kids. Finish the meal with crème brûlée with fresh vanilla bean ($6.50).
